A Self Defense training program was organized for girls of Chhatravas school by National Organisation for Social Empowerment and Delhi Police Special unit for women And Children. We are proud to report the successful completion of the self-defense camp for the consecutive second year now. A team of 70 vibrant girls of Chhatravas School completed a 15-days Self Defense training session at the Desh Raj Campus which commenced on 15th June and marked a successful completion on 30th June 2015. This training session was held under the watchful eye of Miss Anju and Neelam Rani (Constable Delhi police and instructor). All the young and enthusiastic girls learnt how to protect themselves against molestation or any kind of physical abuse.

The closing ceremony of Self Defense Training programme was held on 30th June, 2015 at Arya Auditorium. Mr. Aman Singh (Founder of National Organisation for Social Empowerment) marked his charismatic presence as the Chief Guest. Mrs. Suman Kapoor (Head Coordinator of Chhatravas School) and Parents of students were also present on that occasion to cheer up the girls. Miss. Anju (Chief Coach) and Miss. Neelam Rani (Instructor) were also present there to build confidence among the girls. All students celebrated the day of completion of training by expressing how the training brought self confidence among them, and vowed together that they will use this skill to defend themselves when necessary without an atom of fear or hesitation! All the students gave very interesting and impressive demo for the self-defense skills they had acquired through the training. The young students from Chhatravas School received their Training Completion Certificate from Mr. Aman Singh Founder of National Ngo along with his congratulatory message. Three best students were also awarded trophies along with the certificate.

The chief coach also shared her experience to encourage these young girls. Our interaction with the trained students showed glimpse of positivity, satisfaction and confidence among the girls.

The initiative taken up by National Ngo for the upbringing of the women of the poor section of the society was highly appreciated by Mrs. Suman Kapoor (Head coordinator of Chhatravas School). The main idea for organizing such an event was to train the girls to protect themselves during confrontational circumstances in their lives and fight with courage and intrepidness and not just hand themselves to the sadists and become a victim.
